Welcome to East Restaurant and Lounge on the web.  My family and I welcome you to visit us for lunch, dinner or cocktails.  We are a family restaurant dedicated to serving only the finest Chinese, Japanese and Thai food and your favorite exotic and domestic drinks.
We invite you to join us for your next family or social gathering, plan a party with us, or just come by for taste of our award-winning Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine.  We have a full bar service which includes all your regular domestic drinks and a large selection of exotic Polynesean drinks.

We are open all year 'round for your convenience. Whatever the season, East Restaurant and Lounge welcomes you and your family to make your lunch and dinner selections from our large menu of authentic Chinese, Japanese and Thai offerings.

It is an excellent opportunity for our restaurant fellows across the United States to join in the annually held Top 100 ceremony, as this event provides an ideal platform to communicate and exchange ideas. It upgrades Chinese cuisine and will undoubtedly bring Chinese cuisine to a higher level. This ceremony is very well organized, due to the attentiveness and great efforts of the host. Many celebrities, such as renowned TV host Martin Yan, Robin Leach, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman, NRA officers, and Miss Asia are all present in this ceremony gala, which receives rave reports by many medias, including some well-known TV, newspapers, and magazines. To me, this is clear proof that this event has gone mainstream and has been widely accepted by the general public. For the whole Chinese restaurant industry and the restaurateurs, this event also provides a wonderful chance to promote our restaurants and motivate us to better our establishments.

Since its opening in 2008, East Restaurant has been spreading the knowledge of traditional Chinese culture to Wells residents and tourists. Quality is definitely of importance at East Restaurant in Maine. The 6,500 square foot restaurant seats up to 200 people and specializes in dine-in and take-out service. Because East Restaurant serves both dine-in and take-out customers, it attracts both business people with just a small amount of time on their hands and people looking for a casual, leisurely dinner. According to owner Mr. Li, take-out orders are filled in less than ten minutes to save customers as much time as possible; and the service is always efficient and friendly for the customers looking to dine in. Either way, no matter where you eat it, the food at East Restaurant is delicious. The restaurant not only promises to fill orders in ten minutes—they’ll even deliver to customers who live up to a forty-minute drive away. The two most popular dishes on the menu are Walnut Shrimp and General Tso’s Chicken. But no matter what customers order, they can be sure they are being served food that is always fresh and healthy. “We update or dishes daily, and customers can recognize how fresh our food is,” says Li. With more than a decade’s worth of managerial experience, Li knows that to manage a restaurant well, customers need to be treated perfectly and the staff should always be respected. Li has a strong sense of social responsibility. He often donates money and has free meals for senior citizens. I think that’s why the East Restaurant is considered as No.1 Chinese restaurant in the Eastern America!
